Our Story
Founded in 1983 by the Pankhurst family in Dubbo, NSW, The Book Connection has been a cornerstone of Australian literary culture for over four decades. In its early years, the store acquired a cherished mail-order business dating back to 1953, expanding its reach across the country.
Today, under new ownership as of 2025, we proudly maintain this legacy with over 14,000 new and used titles, continuing to serve book lovers throughout Australia with the same dedication and passion that has defined us from the beginning.
